A Misunderstanding

in the city corner,

the ruin of the past is a silent witness

the melody that rebounded from this old guitar

everything I see is dark

I hear no sound even only a second

of the jingling money caressing a bowl

in a slot before me on which I put

if I’m not mistaken

the clopped step comes closer

the smell of a comer again, I guess

a conversation with an old man

about the wheels that support his life

and restraint his breath

to step on the street artery

then, I realize

that this conversation is no more

than just a misunderstanding
